Are you interested in becoming a Freemason?
If you are, we are open to a dialogue with you and we are happy to answer any questions that you may have.
Since it is one of our core beliefs that a person should come to us of their own free will, it is highly unlikely that you will ever be asked to join a lodge directly. You have to ask. It is our hope that through quiet observation of the character of our members that are within our walls, that you would be inspired to become a part of what truly is a wonderful experience – an experience of personal growth and friendship.
There are some requirements that we have of our members. They are:
- You should be a man of good repute and come well recommended. Bring a fraternity, our lodge only accepts men though there are lodges that are for women. A man of good repute who comes recommended by someone within the community who can vouch for his integrity allows us the confidence that our lodge and craft integrity will not be stained in any way.
- You need to have a belief in a Supreme Being. Christians, Muslims, Jew etc. are all equally welcome. Freemasonry does not dictate to you by what name you should call your God, only that you believe in a Supreme Being.
- You should be able to support yourself and your family. Although Freemasonry does all in it’s power to help others and our Brothers, you should come with the ability to first support yourself and family. This approach of ours stops new members from joining purely to be supported or to gain financially from the fraternity. It is also in place to remind members that your religious and family responsibilities come before that of the lodge.
- You should be of legal age. Most lodges require an age of 21 years, but some allow men of 18 years to join under certain circumstances.
- You should come of your own free will. Ask us – we won’t ask you.
We invite you to start a conversation with us, should you have any questions.
